West Africa Program Officer

Responsibilities

  • Program Strategy & Coordination: Assist in designing and implementing strategies for Field's programs to ensure smooth execution and measurable impact.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, donors, implementing partners, and private sector stakeholders.
  • Technical & User Coordination: Serve as the bridge between stakeholders and technical teams (engineering, support, and product development) to ensure alignment on goals, expectations, and challenges.
  • Meeting & Documentation: Attend and document key meetings with users, government partners, and donors, ensuring clear communication of objectives and outcomes.
  • Data & Research Support: Design and manage data collection activities, including surveys, field research, and user testing, to generate insights for program improvement.
  • Training & Capacity Building: Organise and support training sessions, including logistics, content development, and facilitation of workshops.
  • Process & Workflow Improvement: Identify operational challenges and recommend solutions to optimise program workflows and execution.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure programs meet donor and regulatory requirements, contributing to high-quality reports, trackers, and presentations.
  • Other Responsibilities: Support additional tasks as needed within the digital products and implementation teams.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related technical field (Master’s preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, program management, or public health initiatives.
  • Strong professional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Excellent writing skills for reports, data-driven materials (spreadsheets, dashboards), and presentations.
  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and research methodologies in a public health or supply chain context.
  • A high degree of initiative and adaptability, with the ability to work proactively in small, cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with digital health technologies or experience working on software development projects (preferred).
  • Fluency in English and French (required).
