Responsibilities
- Process Mapping & Improvement: Analyse existing supply chain and market access workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and gaps, particularly around ordering, quantification and distribution. Recommend and help implement digital solutions that streamline these processes.
- Stakeholder Management: Lead engagement and coordination with the Ministry of Health, the National Procurement Agency (Pharmacie Nationale d’Approvisionnement SEN-PNA), pharmaceutical distributors, donors, implementing partners, and private-sector supply chain stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective collaboration.
- Technical & User Coordination: Serve as the bridge between end-users (e.g., pharmacists, national & regional distributors, government agencies, facility staff), and Field Intelligence's operational teams, and technical teams (engineering, support, and product development) to ensure alignment on system requirements, process workflows, and delivery challenges.
- Meeting & Documentation: Attend and document key meetings with end-users, government partners, and donors, ensuring clear communication of objectives, process changes, and outcomes.
- Data & Research Support: Design and manage data collection activities- including surveys, field research, and user testing- to generate actionable insights on supply chain performance, market dynamics, and product availability.
- Training & Capacity Building: Organise and support training sessions for end-users and partners on new digital tools and processes, including logistics, content development, and facilitation of workshops.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure programs meet donor and regulatory requirements, contributing to high-quality reports, trackers, and presentations.
- Supply Chain Strategy: Support the design and execution of strategies to digitise Senegal's pharmaceutical supply chain processes ensuring smooth execution and measurable impact.
- Pharmacy & Supply Chain Landscape Analysis: Develop and maintain a deep understanding of Senegal's pharmaceutical ecosystem, including regulatory pathways, procurement processes, distribution networks, and key market actors, to inform program design and stakeholder engagement.
- Other Responsibilities: Support additional tasks as needed within the digital products and program teams.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Health Economics, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 2+ years of experience in pharmaceutical supply chain, market access, product introduction, or program management within the health or pharmaceutical sector.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and supply chain landscape, including regulatory frameworks, procurement, distribution, and retail pharmacy operations- ideally in Senegal.
- Demonstrated experience in process mapping, workflow analysis, or operational optimisation.
- Strong professional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at multiple levels, from government regulators to pharmacy owners.
- Excellent writing skills for reports, data-driven materials (spreadsheets, dashboards), and presentations.
- Experience with data collection, analysis, and research methodologies in a supply chain or market access context.
- A high degree of initiative and adaptability, with the ability to work proactively in small, cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with digital tools for supply chain management, procurement platforms, or experience working on software/digitisation projects (preferred).
Fluency in English and French (required).
