Infrastructure Lead

We’re looking for someone with a love of infrastructure and automation to work with us on the country-scale, offline-first logistics and program analytics services which we provide to public and private health supply chains. You’ll help design, build and maintain the modern, largely serverless infrastructure and well-developed deployment tooling which serves and monitors our platform as it supports hundreds of millions of health interventions each year.

You will work closely with our development teams in Nigeria and Europe, supporting them with deployment and hosting infrastructure, designing solutions to challenges of scale, security and reliability.

This is a full time position based in or around Berlin or Abuja. We primarily work remotely but find it useful to be able to meet up from time to time. Part-time work possible.

Required

• 5+ years experience working in a DevOps, site reliability engineering, or related role, on live production systems in a team setting
• 5+ years experience working in software engineering, ideally with javascript-based tech stacks

• Professional experience:

  • Working with AWS (esp. CDK, Lambda, ECS)
  • Maintaining and scaling data infrastructure (Postgres, Apache CouchDB a plus)
  • Maintaining CI / CD pipelines (esp. CircleCI)
  • Working with Linux shells and Docker in production environments
  • Configuring Javascript build systems (esp. esbuild, NPM)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of personal initiative and organisation
• Language skills: English (fluent)
